The Loudoun Education Foundation (LEF) held its Annual Pro-Am Golf Classic at The Club at Creighton Farms on Monday, September 30, 2019. It is the Foundation’s premier fundraising event, bringing together many of the top business executives from Northern Virginia and beyond. Their generosity supports our students and teachers through projects that excite our children’s curiosity and enhance the quality of education in Loudoun County Public Schools.
This year, the LEF met its goal of raising $128,000 during this full-day event. Congratulations to this year’s winning team from Cisco Systems, Inc., the second-place team was Sigmon Family Investments and the team that finished in third place was the Virts Miller Family Foundation. The longest drive competition winner was Barry Conti and the closest to the hole winners were Danny McKenzie and Brooke Wenger.
LEF Executive Director, Dawn Meyer, stated, “This has been one of our most successful LEF Golf Tournaments to date and I am thankful to everyone who sponsored the event and came out and played. The funds raised will go towards supporting the Loudoun Education Foundation.” Meyer followed with, “We want to continue to help the teachers and students in Loudoun County Public Schools by providing funding for teacher grants, scholarships, STEAM education and programs that support social and emotional well-being.”
Thank you to our primary event sponsors Moseley Architects and Cigna, as well as all our sponsors for helping make this event happen. Be sure to mark your calendars for next year’s tournament which will be taking place on Monday, October 5, 2020!
